We are currently seeking a HR Coordinator for our client located in Leeds. Our client is a national health and social care charity who helpwith challenges including drugs and alcohol, housing, justice, health and wellbeing.

This willrole includesmainly work from home with the odd occasion in the office.

The post holder will support managers with their recruitment vetting processes for employees, workers and volunteers and ensuring legislative and safer recruitment standard are maintained.

This role will provide an excellent experience to candidates joining the organisation whilst their pre-employment checks are undertaken.

This role will work on the HR Services Helpdesk and provide first line advice and guidance for managers, staff and workers about their people related issues and queries.

Role-specific responsibilities:

Ensure all pre-employment checks for employees and workers are completed to a high standard and the appropriate pre-employment checks are undertaken such as DBS/ PVG checks, right to work, referencing, occupational health and qualifications.

Provide first line support to managers, employees, and others as part of the HR Services Helpdesk, providing prompt support on first tier people related issues for example understanding terms and conditions.
Escalate all safeguarding queries to the appropriate manager when need to go to either the regional and national safeguarding panels, providing accurate and relevant information.

Ensure that all contractual documentation and other associated documentation is completed to a high standard and ensure all details are accurately recorded on the system and Employee files.
Sign post complex queries to other HR teams/ departments for response such as management of an employment relations issues or payroll processing issues to payroll.

Provide support to managers on the use of HR related systems or navigation of the HR intranet pages and initial guidance on policies.
Provide HR coordination support to redeployees, internal transferees and recruiting managers. To provide initial advice, process new contracts and undertake administration for these processes.

Work in a values based and compassionate way to meet or exceed service level agreements and policy timeframes and take proactive steps or escalate issues where these may not be achieved.

Proactively maintain their knowledge and understanding of the services policies, procedures and employment legislation that applies within their remit to support responses to HR Services Help Desk users.

Undertake administrative duties associated with the HR Help Desk and provide administrative support to the wider team.
Respond to reference requests on behalf of leavers as required to new employers and reference responses for mortgage applications.

Support projects agreed with and directed by the HR Services Manager and/ or HR Service Leads.
Support administration and processing as required of Data Subject Requests under the direction of HR Service Leads.

Ensure their work meets all regulatory standards, data entry and accurate record keeping is maintained in line with GDPR standards.
Develop effective working relationships with operational and other key stakeholders to promote and deliver HR services.

Attend and contribute to team meetings, worker forums and other meetings as required.
Undertake office duties including dealing with post for the team, photocopying, scanning, filing etc.

Undertake other duties commensurate to the role.
