A Senior Systems Engineer (Microsoft) is required for our client based in Leeds for an initial 3-year fixed term contract. This is a hybrid positions, around 1 - 2 days on site (subject to change with project demands), therefore please only apply if you can commit to this.
The successful candidate will be experienced with Microsoft 365 Dynamics, Azure skills, PowerApps etc.

  • Install, configure and maintain server hardware and operating services including Azure and other cloud virtualised infrastructure and on-premise implementations
  • Configure, centrally manage and secure the organisation's server and endpoint services using Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Intune & Microsoft 365
  • Configure and manage Microsoft SQL Server & Oracle databases
  • Ensure Microsoft 365 services are configured to allow secure collaboration internally and externally
  • Expertly configure network infrastructure, firewalls, switches and Azure environment
  • Apply security, compliance and governance skills to improve the infrastructure
  • To be available for emergency out of hours work. Where required, take ownership on problem incidents, investigate and provide a solution
  • Own the design creation of new or amended solutions, working closely with software developers to take a project from concept through to implementation readiness and transition to Live Services
  • Senior subject matter expert for a broad range of new technologies, continually updating skills and knowledge to reflect modern new and emerging corporate computing solutions

Experience

  • Experience of designing and delivering live systems that use Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, Microsoft Azure and Power BI, in a complex organisation.
  • Comprehensive experience of working with Microsoft Azure, networks, storage, security, backups, system troubleshooting and their lifecycle management.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional qualification or equivalent experience of managing all currently supported Microsoft server operating systems and databases that serve hundreds of users
  • Practical experience of successfully performing with a broad range of technologies.
  • Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and championing change successfully.
