An IT Project Manager (social care system) is required for our client based in West Yorkshire for an initial 4-month contract (likelihood of extending to December 2025). This is part time position, working 2-3 days per week.

Our client is implementing a new social care system. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager who has experience of implementing IT Systems within a public sector environment, ideally social care systems i.e. Mosaic, Liquid Logic etc.

The role requires substantial experience of having successfully led and managed projects on time and within budget using sound project management methodology and tools in a complex environment. This will include substantial experience of working in or with Social Care or similar environment i.e. NHS, local council’s etc.

The role requires overseeing all aspects of project execution, including relationship management, planning, resource allocation, risk management, and timely delivery, while maintaining alignment with business goals and technical requirements.

Key Tasks & Deliverables

  1. Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines and resource allocation, tracking project performance to ensure goals and deadlines are met.
  2. Ensure adherence to project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders and management of any requested changes to project scope and schedule.
  3. Establish and maintain positive relationships with all key stakeholders, internal and external. 
  4. Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, development teams, and other departments, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  5. Organise and lead project-related meetings and presentations.
  6. Lead cross-functional teams in executing project deliverables, ensuring project team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
  7. Coordinate with internal and external partners for the successful completion of tasks.
  8. Continuously assess project risks and adjust project plans as necessary.

Management of the project risk log, through identification and recording of potential risks and development of mitigation strategies, troubleshooting of issues and implementation of corrective actions to resolve project roadblocks.
