Elevation Recruitment Group are working exclusively with a West Yorkshire business who design and manufacture modern office & garden furniture such as meeting pods, screens, partions etc. Their products can be found in the offices of global, blue-chip companies such as Google.We are looking for a talented and enthusiatic Design Engineer to join the team, based just outside Leeds, who can help the company expand in to new markets. You will develop new products with a focus on innovation, manufacturing feasability and quality.Key responsibilituies will include:
- Developing and designing products and systems, based on customer requirements and industry standards
- Researching and creating detailed technical drawings
- Conducting research and testing to check the feasibility and viability of the design ideas
- Collaborating with other areas within the organisation; such as manufacturing and quality control, whilst ensuring financial viability of projects
- Maintaining specifications, drawings and technical manuals
- Troubleshooting design-related issues and making necessary changes
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies
We'd love to speak to candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Qualified in a Design or Engineering discipline
- Background in design and development of Office Furniture or Aluminium systems such as doors, windows etc.
- Skilled user of AutoCAD and Solidworks
- Knowledge of design for manufacture, CNC Machining, Aluminium Extrusion, Powder Coating etc.
- Enthusiastic and innovative approach
