Our client, a market leading manufacturer near Leeds, seek to appoint a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer who will work closely with the manufacturing teams as they product a range of bespoke products. This role will lead and support a range of new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing improvement projects, for both assembly and machining operations. As Manufacturing Engineer you will play a pivotal role in continuous improvement activities which will include in-housing certain processes, some robotics automation, and design of jigs, fixates and tooling (3D CAD skills needed).

Graduate Manufacturing Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Production Engineer, NPI Engineer, Lean, Continuous Improvement, Machining, Assembly

 - Address root causes of inefficiencies. Work with quality department and understand 4D/8D/Root Cause Analysis. Implement CAPA - Work with test department to maintain test equipment - Increase OEE and reduce machine downtime. Work with maintenance and advise on TPM/PPM - Make improvements to processes and production techniques. Work with production to increase manufacturing efficiency - Design of jigs, fixtures and tooling  Graduate Manufacturing Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Production Engineer, NPI Engineer, Lean, Continuous Improvement, Machining, Assembly

 - Basic experience of production engineering: layout, continuous flow, SMED, CAPEX, planning, capacity modelling/simulation, costing - Some lean manufacturing and continuous improvement knowledge - HND/Degree qualified in Production or Manufacturing Engineering preferred - Knowledge of low volume bespoke manufacturing- Experience using a 3D CAD system
