A well-known manufacturing business in West Yorkshire is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their team.
The role involves using various tools for mechanical modifications and installations on patented technology.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
A relevant engineering qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds, is desirable.
The position offers a competitive salary of £30,000 to £35,000 per year, depending on experience.

Our client is going through a period of continued growth and looking to appoint a mechanical fitter to work on state of the art, patented technology. This role will involve the mechanical fitter using various types of tools and carrying out mechanical modifications / installations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Work with a range of tools and equipment to ensure accurate and efficient fitting.

• Conduct testing and quality checks to maintain company standards.

• Follow health & safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

• Collaborate with engineers and other departments to improve processes and efficiency.

• Assemble and fit our clients product range.

• Carry out mechanical modifications, installations, and inspections.

The ideal Mechanical fitter:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.

• Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools.

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• A relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) is desirable.

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
