- Negotiating with insurer partners in order to help to retain existing clients
- Prepare and invite renewals in line with FCA requirements.
- Develop relationships with customers and Insurers.
- Handle general enquiries competently and give clear guidance and explanations.
- Maximise renewal retention.
- Looking for insurance cross-sell opportunities beyond motor insurance and working directly with a client to gather the right information.
- Working on a variety of insurance products including fleet, commercial combined, goods in transit, cyber, and liability insurance
- Accurately update and maintain our policy system (Acturis)
- To be friendly, professional, and heavily client focussed.
- Have a good all-round knowledge of commercial insurance both motor and non motor including handling of sizeable premiums (£30,000 GWP plus)
- A questioning nature and an ability to read between the lines in order to truly understand a customer’s requirements.
- Have friendly and professional communication attributes including on the telephone and via email.
- The ability to build relationships with customers and Insurers.
- Ability to prioritise work.
- To be confident and proactive and can use own initiative.
- Be a team player.
- Have a keen eye for detail.
- Previous knowledge of Acturis would be advantageous.
- Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate – preferred, or willing to work towards.
