Salary: Up to £32,000 DOE

As they continue to experience continued growth within the company, they are offering an exciting opportunity for a Claims Handler to join the team in Leeds.

The Role

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of insurance claims, including motor, property, casualty, and liability claims. You’ll be the key point of contact for clients, guiding them through the claims process and ensuring timely and fair resolutions. You will work closely with insurers and third parties, handling claim negotiations and ensuring accurate record-keeping throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Claims Management: Handle a portfolio of insurance claims across various lines, including property, casualty, and liability insurance.
  • Client Support: Serve as a main point of contact, providing guidance and updates to clients throughout the claims process.
  • Negotiation: Assist in negotiating settlements with insurers, ensuring claims are resolved in line with policy terms and client needs.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all communications, claim activities, and payments, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Customer Service: Deliver responsive, empathetic customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns.
  • Compliance: Follow regulatory and company standards in all claims handling activities.

Requirements:

  • 6 months+ of experience in insurance claims handling.
  • Basic knowledge of insurance products and claims processes.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple claims efficiently.
  • Experience with insurance software (Acturis experience is a plus).
