We have a great opportunity with an established MGA who are going through an exciting period of growth. Due to this they are looking to add an experienced Commercial Underwriter who will work from home on a permanent basis.

Key Duties:
- Underwriting and placement of Property, Casualty & Combined risks in line with a selection of schemes and binders
- Supporting a network of c400 brokers, which is continually growing
- Managing own renewal list and ensuring a high level of service is provided
- Working with premiums anywhere from £500 to £50,000, averaging around £10,000
- Adhering to Underwriting authorities and taking relevant insurer facilitated training to increase this
- Being proactive, and ensuring a quality service is provided to brokers
- Using and coaching brokers on a bespoke processing system
Key Skills:
- At least 3 years Commercial insurance experience is required for this role
- Commercial Underwriting experience is desired, preferably within an MGA, Insurer or Wholesale Broker
- An understanding of Binders and Schemes is essential
- Ability to get on with brokers and lean on past relationships will be advantageous
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage the expectations of brokers along the way
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to professionally challenge decisions
- Experience with Property, Liability & Combined risks is essential
- A desire to progress and develop would be welcomed as there is scope for senior and leadership roles as the business grows
