Job Title: Legionella Risk Assessor (Water Industry)
Location: Leeds - Yorkshire Region
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to 34k
We are seeking an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join our dynamic team, focusing on the water industry. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough legionella risk assessments both manually and electronically, ensuring that all paperwork and reports are completed accurately and returned in a timely manner. You will also carry out various operational tasks to ensure we meet our contractual commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct legionella risk assessments in line with industry standards, including:
o Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition)
o Technical guidance documents of HSG274
o British Standard code of practice for risk assessing BS8580-1:2019
o Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe Water in Healthcare Premises
* Complete risk assessment reports accurately and ensure timely submission.
* Perform other operational duties as required to meet contractual obligations.
* Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project goals and deadlines.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualifications: City and Guilds Risk Assessing course (or equivalent) and relevant experience in legionella risk assessing.
* Experience: Demonstrable experience in the water treatment industry, with a deep understanding of the aforementioned risk assessment guidelines.
* Skills:
o Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
o Ability to work with IT systems and use a PDA to document compliance and productivity.
o Ability to draw schematic diagrams as part of the assessment process.
o Excellent planning and organisational skills.
o Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
* Other Requirements:
o Full UK driver's licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
o Ability to work independently, while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
