Purchasing Administrator

About The Role:

As a Purchasing Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth purchasing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raising purchase orders (POs) and progressing outstanding orders
  • Checking lead times and stock availability
  • Communicating order status and stock availability to sales teams
  • Arranging internal warehouse transfers of goods
  • Managing supplier sales issues and complaints
  • Confirming client delivery addresses and details
  • Liaising with UK & international suppliers
  • Coordinating with other departments when necessary
  • Stock control & inventory management
  • Accurately inputting new stock onto databases
  • Maintaining supplier relationships
  • Supporting sales administration teams where required
  • Ensuring price lists are up to date and accurate
  • Attending occasional trade shows
  • Assisting with purchasing forecasts
  • Working to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment

Experience / Skills Required:

  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Experience in administration and a good understanding of operations within a purchasing department
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and work to your own initiative
  • ERP & stock management system experience (Streamline or similar preferred)
  • Right to work within the UK is essential
