About The Role:
As a Purchasing Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth purchasing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raising purchase orders (POs) and progressing outstanding orders
- Checking lead times and stock availability
- Communicating order status and stock availability to sales teams
- Arranging internal warehouse transfers of goods
- Managing supplier sales issues and complaints
- Confirming client delivery addresses and details
- Liaising with UK & international suppliers
- Coordinating with other departments when necessary
- Stock control & inventory management
- Accurately inputting new stock onto databases
- Maintaining supplier relationships
- Supporting sales administration teams where required
- Ensuring price lists are up to date and accurate
- Attending occasional trade shows
- Assisting with purchasing forecasts
- Working to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
Experience / Skills Required:
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Experience in administration and a good understanding of operations within a purchasing department
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and work to your own initiative
- ERP & stock management system experience (Streamline or similar preferred)
- Right to work within the UK is essential
