Mortgage Administrator - Leeds, LS16 (Ref: M1629MABMC)

BDM Recruitment are looking to recruit an administrator, ideally with mortgage admin experience to join a leading mortgage broker firm in West Yorkshire, and become an integral part of our dynamic mortgage administration team in Leeds, LS16.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Mortgage Administrator to provide essential support to our client’s mortgage and protection advisor team. As a Mortgage Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of mortgage applications while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

This role is perfect for someone who is eager to become a key player in a dynamic mortgage broker firm. As part of West Yorkshire’s leading mortgage brokerage, you will receive extensive training and opportunities for career progression within the Financial Services department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with the mortgage administration team to ensure seamless administrative support.
  • Scrutinise new business cases from mortgage brokers and mortgage advisors to guarantee compliance with FCA rules and regulations.
  • Engage with both new and existing clients, liaising with mortgage lenders, surveyors, and retailers.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation management, ensuring all materials are compliant, accurate, and properly filed.
  • Proactively chase and obtain outstanding information to uphold impeccable customer service standards.
  • Support the mortgage application process from start to finish, including document gathering, verification, and tracking progress.
  • Provide administrative support to mortgage advisors, including diary management, appointment scheduling, and preparing client presentations.
  • Contribute to the efficiency of the department by implementing and improving administrative processes.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in mortgage administration is preferred, but candidates with strong administrative backgrounds from other sectors will be considered.
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Stellar verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
