Job Title: Associate Director of Town Planning

Location: Leeds

The Company:

We are seeking an Associate Director Town Planner to join a dynamic National Development & Infrastructure Planning team, working closely with a range of multi-disciplinary services and collaborating with experts in the field. This key role will involve managing a variety of planning projects, including residential, mixed-use developments, data centres, airports, retail, logistics, and major infrastructure initiatives. You'll also play a significant part in growing the business and mentoring junior planners.

Key Responsibilities:

Building new client relationships and maintaining existing ones
Directing and mentoring junior team members
Contributing to business plans and chairing planning meetings
Preparing fee proposals and assisting with tender submissions
Handling Local Plan consultations, Local Plan Examinations, and appeals
Overseeing projects of various sizes, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction

Requirements:

Qualified MRTPI or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Strong experience in large energy and infrastructure projects, including those requiring Environmental Impact Assessment and Developments of National Significance
Full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute with a proven consultancy background
An established market reputation and track record of winning commercially viable projects
Solid financial and project management skills
Strong communication and influencing abilities to build lasting relationships
