Are you an aspiring Town Planner looking to kickstart your career in a dynamic and progressive environment? We're partnering with a highly respected planning consultancy based in Leeds, who are on the lookout for a Junior Town Planner to join their growing team.

About the Role:

As a Junior Town Planner, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of exciting projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You'll work closely with senior planners to support planning applications, site assessments, policy reviews, and client-facing activities. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and develop your skills in all areas of town planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing and submitting planning applications, reports, and documents.
  • Support the preparation of planning policy assessments and site appraisals.
  • Conduct research and analysis of planning policies, regulations, and market trends.
  • Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and clients to gather information and resolve queries.
  • Contribute to project delivery and attend meetings with senior planners.
  • Assist in the preparation of planning appeal documents and representation.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field (MRTPI accreditation or working towards it is advantageous).
  • A strong understanding of planning legislation and policy frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, with a strong ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Previous experience or internships in planning or related sectors is a plus but not essential.
