Senior Planner

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Town Planner to join a multi-disciplinary Independent Planning and Architecture Consultancy in the North-East!

My client is an award-winning and innovative practice with an excellent reputation for creating inspirational and deliverable development projects for both private and public sector clients throughout the North of England and Midlands.

At the heart of the business is the largest independent Planning consultancy in the north employing a large team of chartered town planners with expertise in local plans, development control, appeals and environmental assessments.

The ideal candidate will have demonstratable previous experience post-qualification, preferably in a private practice, and will enjoy working on a wide range of development management projects.

Candidate requirements

  • RTPI Chartered Planner (or working towards).
  • RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or relevant subject.
  • Ability to lead own projects and also work as part of a team.
  • Experience in the preparation, submission, and management of a range of planning applications and appeals.
  • Confidence managing clients and attending client and local authority meetings.
  • Ability to provide clean and concise reasoned advice to clients both orally and written.
  • Time management and workload management skills.
