Chartered Landscape Architect required to join the Leeds office of a national property design consultancy who are specialists in construction consultancy, providing expertise in architecture, surveying, building services engineering and strategic development across a range of projects with both public and private sector clients, with a focus on Leisure, Education, Housing, and Public Realm projects.

Our client is one of the countries most respected property design and management consultancies and have regional offices throughout the UK, they are a multi-disciplinary practice and their expanding business offers exceptional career prospects. This opportunity is to take over from the reigns for the current Landscape Architect in the team who is due to retire. On offer is a mixture and range of projects both framework and non-framework awarded as follows.

The successful Landscape Architect will be involved within a variety of work encompassing Landscape design on the following projects -

Multiple leisure related schemes up to 25m in value, the majority of which are due planning consent imminently.
Various grass roots football foundation projects, to include new and upgraded facilities, viewing terraces, training facilities.
Housing - New Build housing, majority of which is net zero, housing estate renewals & refurbishments, energy efficiency upgrades.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in providing and maintaining design specification, construction and contract management for a variety of projects, alongside:

  • Project management - including budget and resource management.
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis ensuring designs meet their requirements.
  • Producing work to a high degree of technical accuracy.
  • Remaining compliant to all relevant legislation and Group policies and procedures.
  • Designing solutions that demonstrate quality, innovation and commercial viability.
  • Playing a central role in client management and satisfaction, maintaining and growing existing relationships, while identifying future opportunities.
  • Advising clients and project teams on relevant landscape matters for planning, landscape management, and biodiversity Contributing to fee agreements by setting out the scope of service to be delivered on each project.
  • Managing high standard production of drawings and details complying with company policies, standard, and quality assurance processes.

    The Successful Landscape Architect will have the following
  • A degree level qualification in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Management.
  • CMLI accreditation with good knowledge of professional ethics and ethical framework.
  • Demonstrable professional experience of landscape planning and landscape architecture.
  • A very good understanding of the UK planning system and how our work relates to it.
  • Experience of managing projects and fee budgets, or a desire to develop the necessary skills.
  • A strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office; experience of using GIS is desirable. Working knowledge of Revit desirable.
  • Focus on detail delivery and strong report writing skills are essential.
