Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our dynamic team on a flexible/hybrid basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in representing clients who have suffered harm as a result of medical negligence. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload, collaborating with experts in the field and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by clinical negligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of high value clinical negligence claims from inception to resolution, ensuring timely and effective progress.
  • Assisting senior members of the team on their high value, complex matters
  • Conduct thorough investigations into cases, gathering evidence, and liaising with relevant medical professionals and experts.
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients, explaining complex legal concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Draft legal documents, including letters of claim, pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings, advocating for their best interests at all times.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients, maintaining open communication and fostering strong working relationships.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Solicitor (from Newly Qualified +)
  • Strong litigation experience, with a proven track record of handling complex cases through to successful resolution.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and procedural rules relating to clinical negligence claims.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex medical issues and legal principles.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and achieving justice for clients.
