This opportunity is ideal for a Solicitor or Associate level Solicitor with experience in Defendant Personal Injury or Clinical Negligence (Claimant or Defendant), looking to join a leading Legal 500 firm in its central Leeds office.

The Role: Clinical Negligence Solicitor

As part of the Clinical Risk team, you will manage a high-quality caseload of defendant clinical negligence matters. Clients include NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts, medical defence organisations (MDUs), independent healthcare providers and medical malpractice insurers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a varied and complex caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims
  • Draft pleadings, witness statements and letters of response
  • Engage in face-to-face negotiations, claim mediations and counter-schedule preparations

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 0–5+ years PQE (all levels will be considered)
  • Background in defendant or claimant clinical negligence or defendant insurance litigation
  • Experience with NHS Resolution panel firms is advantageous but not essential
  • A solid understanding of NHS protocols, KPIs and commercial drivers is a plus
