I have a senior level opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with a national law firm at its central Leeds office.

This leading Commercial Disputes Team is looking for a Senior Associate Solicitor to join them, a close-knit team, where you will gain exposure to a broad range of good quality and interesting Commercial Dispute cases. This role has potential for development and progression for an individual with strong technical ability, a solid grounding in Commercial Disputes and a willingness to assume responsibility. Contributing to the growth and development of the department, supervising and mentoring other team members.

This firm promote an extremely flexible working arrangement, with high levels of home working if preferred. Some office presence is required, and the team are based in central Leeds. Alongside this, the firm offer a very competitive salary and a market leading benefits package to include:

  • Private Pension
  • Private medical insurance
  • Discretionary Bonus - subject to company and individual performance
  • Company sick pay
  • Company maternity and paternity pay
  • Group income protection
  • MIP scheme
  • Death in service benefit 4x salary
  • EAP scheme
  • 25 holidays per year plus bank holidays
  • 35 hour working week
  • Social events and charity fundraising initiatives
  • Recruitment bonus and more!

In light of the range and depth of the available work there is also the opportunity to specialise. So, if your experience or interest is more directed towards a certain area of Commercial Disputes, Construction or Property litigation for example, please do get in touch.

Duties include:

  • Working independently with day-to-day conduct of own files which may be complex and high value
  • Representing, advising and supporting clients over a broad range of Commercial Dispute disciplines including contractual liability, property related matters, breach of directors’ duties, trespass and nuisance
  • Working within an insurance funded litigation environment and considering matters of insurance policy coverage and providing claims handling support to insurers
  • Supporting the Legal Manager representing, supervising, and managing junior team members work as appropriate

This role would be ideal for candidates from a general Commercial Disputes/litigation background, who are comfortable in dealing with (among other types of matters): breach of contract claims; shareholder and partnership, breaches of company administration requirements and directors’ duties; breach of confidence; professional negligence and fraud.

Ideally you will have a minimum of 4 years PQE to be considered for this senior level position, however candidates with solid commercial litigation experience under this level are still urged to apply directly via the link.
