As a leading Northern regional practice, my client currently has an excellent role available for a lawyer (Solicitor/CILEx) who can demonstrate some good costs experience across a minimum of 2 years.

The successful candidate will be assigned to and be responsible for a highly successful litigation team in the development and expansion of their offering by providing quality and intricate specialist costs litigation advice.

Candidates can expect to work closely with the Partners and fee earners in a highly collegiate team. Specific duties associated with this role will include the preparation of costs scheduled and formal Court costs budgets; managing costs negotiations with opposing representatives, acquiring client instructions as and when required and helping to contribute to the wider department's business objectives whilst keeping up to date with relevant changes and developments in the law.

This role is open to candidates who live within a commutable distance of either the centre of Leeds or Newcastle given that the team this role exists within has teams in both locations. Hybrid working is in operation across both locations and candidates can expect a good balance of in-office/remote work.
