A top ranked Legal 500 and Chambers legal practice is looking to recruit an experienced regulatory solicitor to join them in their Leeds office. This firm operates primarily in the health sector but is also based across a number of other professional disciplines, and is widely regarded as one of the leading firms in the country when it comes to regulatory investigations.

The vacancy available will involve mostly managing an investigatory caseload concerning fitness to practice issues that might be affected through misconduct, competence or health issues and preparing those cases for hearings before panels and committees of the relevant regulators. It is a full client facing role with elements of supervision for more junior members of the team in terms of preparing key elements of cases for hearings (e.g. witness statements, bundles etc.). Advocacy will also be a key part of this role and will involve the successful candidate having full ownership and autonomy for presenting cases to Practice Committees/Interim Orders Committees.

This would be an excellent role for qualified lawyers already established within regulatory law who are looking to further develop their careers by working on behalf of highly reputable regulators in the health & social care, legal services and education sectors, as well as the opportunity to gain experience in supervising / managing junior members of a team.Salary is completely dependent on the level of PQE and expertise candidates can bring to this role. Hybrid and flexible working is also available with this role.
