Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an expanding manufacturing who are looking to hire a Quality Manager for their site in Leeds. The business are looking for an experienced and dynamic Quality Manager to oversee the end-to-end quality assurance process across design, supply chain, manufacturing, and installation operations. In this pivotal role, you will drive the implementation of robust quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 alongside other industry standards) promoting continuous improvement across the business.

You will be a key player in shaping our quality culture, driving operational excellence, and ensuring products consistently meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements. With a mix of office-based and fieldwork responsibilities, you will collaborate across departments to foster a right-first-time culture and deliver quality at every stage of the value chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive quality management system to ensure defect-free products.
  • Maintain and uphold accreditations such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BOPAS, and NHBC.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with quality and environmental standards.
  • Implement robust process controls and error-proofing systems to guarantee quality across design, manufacturing, and installation.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate inefficiencies and non-conformities.
  • Foster a "right-first-time" culture and establish clear quality objectives and KPIs.
  • Mentor and guide teams on quality standards, inspection procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to manage quality and resolve issues when necessary.
  • Develop and implement a Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) framework to collect, analyse, and act on feedback.
  • Proactively address customer concerns and work with warranty providers to resolve quality issues.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in Quality Management, with a strong understanding of ISO 9001 and maintenance of robust Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong engineering and manufacturing background 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to lead a team of Quality Inspectors/Technicians.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions (CAPA).
