Job Title: • Graduate Continuous Improvement & Process Engineer

Job role of the Graduate Continuous Improvement & Process Engineer:• The purpose of this role is to improve the efficiency of their management system• You will focus on understanding their processes to ensure that you carry the correct checks at the correct time with the correct tools.• You will work on continuous improvement projects to provide more efficient and automated quality checks• You will work on problem solving whenever an internal or a customer complaint arise, coaching the team to solve the issue permanently in the shortest time possible• You will challenge their operations staff to deliver quality products on time every time.

Key Activities of the Graduate Continuous Improvement & Process Engineer:A- Complaints & Disciplined Problem SolvingCustomer / Internal / Supplier Complaints• Ensure all issues are root caused and fixed on time• Lead problem solving sessions applying appropriate quality/ CI Tools• Coach team on problem solvingProblem solving KPIs• For each type of complaint: #Repeat Issues, #Days to implement fix

B- Process Control & TrialsMachines operating windows understanding• Project manage the Trials process and procedures with the respective teams• Conduct process capability study vs specs to ensure process is capableMeasure• Define tools required are Repeatable and Reproducible to perform QA checks• QA checks automation (measures & controls)Production control:• Create or update "One Point Lesson" on how to perform QA checks• Create or update attribute quality checks standard book• Create or update quality record documents template• Monitor records are filled in correctly by the teamo Coaching on line

C- Change ControlNew products launch / New material trial / New machines installation / Modification to existing line:• Set trial standards• Approve protocols• Review results• Facilitating risk assessments with the respective teams to mitigate risk in preparation for authorised changes.

D- Training• Train people on Quality Critical tasks• Coach people and facilitate problem solving methodology• On the floor daily coaching - QA observations & feedback

E- Quality Reporting / Communication• Responsible for internal quality results communication (KPI tracking)• Responsible for quality issues / project communication boards on the shop floor

F- Continuous Improvement• Identify opportunities• Develop and lead action plan to deliver these opportunities

G- Project Management• Summarise key tasks and monitor progress of the respective project• Design the project with actions proportionate to the scale of the task/ problem• Establish and maintain good working relations to develop multi-disciplined teams and facilitate robust decision making and 'buy-in’ from the team

Qualifications & Knowledge:Required: • Graduate Masters / Bachelor in a Technical / Manufacturing / Sciences subject• Proven capability in Problem Solving (8D, Green Belt Lean 6 Sigma, UPS, A3, …)

Desirable: (Training will be given for the right candidate)• 1 year or more of 'Hands on’ experience in a process control / engineering role• Degree/Diploma in Quality Management or Quality Assurance• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt qualified or equivalent• Experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment• Experience in the food packaging industry

Skills & Experience:• Ability to analyse complex sets of data quickly• Ability to train and engage with people in a respectful and professional manner • Ability to break down problems, establish corrective actions and take the initiative • Excellent communication: written, spoken, visual• Excellent computer skills: mainly Microsoft office and email

Personal Attributes:• Must be curious and comfortable challenging the norm• Must demonstrate a 'Can-Do’ attitude• Must be willing to learn and develop personal knowledge• Computer literate• Bias for action / Enthusiastic with drive for continuous improvement• Must be an excellent team player with good interpersonal skills able to communicate at all levels• Clean Driving License• Excellent customer focus required• Adaptable and comfortable with change to meet both personal and business development needs.• Logical with a key eye for details

Salary:• Circa £35,000 pa depending on experience
