Job Title: Legal Secretary – Probate/Residential Conveyancing

Reed Leeds is recruiting on behalf of an established Law firm based in Leeds, our client is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Secretary to join their probate team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal administration, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of probate documents
- Manage and organise case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and court dates
- Draft and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other parties involved in probate cases
- Maintain and update client records and databases
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail including email
- Perform general administrative duties such as answering phones, managing calendars, and ordering office supplies
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal secretary, preferably in probate or estate planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
