Key Responsibilities:

Caseload Management:

  • Manage a varied and complex caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, transfers of equity, and re-mortgages, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Draft, review, and amend legal documents such as contracts, transfers, and completion statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with property law.
  • Prepare files for exchange and completion, ensuring that all deadlines are met and legal requirements are fully satisfied.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and gather necessary documentation to support transactions, ensuring full compliance with relevant property law and regulations.

File and Compliance Management:

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and compliant client files in accordance with legal, regulatory, and firm standards.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, including reviewing title deeds, searches, and mortgage offers, to identify and mitigate any potential risks or issues.
  • Provide legal guidance and solutions to resolve complex issues that arise during transactions, ensuring smooth and successful outcomes.

Technical and Administrative Support:

  • Oversee the management of case files, ensuring all necessary documentation is processed, reviewed, and filed correctly, maintaining the highest standards of organisation.
  • Utilise conveyancing software and case management systems to track progress and ensure timely completion of transactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction, particularly when handling complex or high-value cases.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, offering guidance and training where required, and ensuring smooth workflows within the team.
