Key Responsibilities:
Caseload Management:
- Manage a varied and complex caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, transfers of equity, and re-mortgages, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
- Draft, review, and amend legal documents such as contracts, transfers, and completion statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with property law.
- Prepare files for exchange and completion, ensuring that all deadlines are met and legal requirements are fully satisfied.
- Conduct detailed legal research and gather necessary documentation to support transactions, ensuring full compliance with relevant property law and regulations.
File and Compliance Management:
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and compliant client files in accordance with legal, regulatory, and firm standards.
- Conduct thorough due diligence, including reviewing title deeds, searches, and mortgage offers, to identify and mitigate any potential risks or issues.
- Provide legal guidance and solutions to resolve complex issues that arise during transactions, ensuring smooth and successful outcomes.
Technical and Administrative Support:
- Oversee the management of case files, ensuring all necessary documentation is processed, reviewed, and filed correctly, maintaining the highest standards of organisation.
- Utilise conveyancing software and case management systems to track progress and ensure timely completion of transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction, particularly when handling complex or high-value cases.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, offering guidance and training where required, and ensuring smooth workflows within the team.
