This is a high-impact leadership role, focused on driving transformative change and continuous improvement across key business functions. As the Head of Central Operations, you will lead projects and process improvements across areas such as retail operations, supply chain, IT, and customer engagement to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.

The Role:

As Head of Central Operations, you will take ownership of leading strategic projects that drive operational improvements across the business. You will focus on identifying opportunities to optimise processes, reduce costs, and implement best practices across key areas such as retail operations, supply chain, IT, and customer engagement. Your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to ensure that projects are executed effectively and align with the company's broader operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead strategic projects aimed at improving processes and systems across retail operations, supply chain, IT, and customer engagement.
  • Process Optimisation: Identify inefficiencies and design solutions to improve workflows, enhance productivity, and reduce operational costs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior leaders in various departments to ensure seamless execution of projects and alignment on operational goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing initiatives that optimise systems, processes, and practices.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Use data and analytics to measure performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Change Management: Oversee the implementation of new processes, technologies, and systems, ensuring smooth transitions and effective adoption across teams.
  • KPI Development & Reporting: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of operational improvements and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Innovation & Technology: Stay at the forefront of industry trends, ensuring the business is adopting the latest technologies and methodologies to stay competitive and efficient.
The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will bring a background in leading process improvement projects and driving operational excellence in complex environments. You'll have experience working across retail operations, supply chain, IT, and customer engagement, with a focus on delivering measurable improvements that drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in leading process improvement projects within retail, supply chain, IT, or customer engagement functions.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, logistics, supply chain management, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Expertise in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions that enhance operational performance.
  • Experience in change management and leading teams through transformational initiatives.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with operational technologies and methodologies (e.g., ERP systems, Lean, Six Sigma) is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and delivering results on time.
