Lead and develop warehousing, transport, customer service and purchasing functions

The role:

Key responsibilities:

Warehouse & order fulfilment: Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and dispatched with precision and speed.

Transport & logistics: Coordinate transport logistics to guarantee timely, reliable delivery.

Customer service: Lead a customer service team dedicated to resolving issues efficiently and delighting customers at every touchpoint.

Purchasing & inventory management: Manage purchasing activities, maintaining optimal stock levels and fostering strong supplier relationships.

Operational strategy: Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance productivity and streamline workflows.

Performance monitoring: Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement areas and drive operational success.

Team leadership: Train, mentor, and inspire staff to excel in their roles and support their professional development.

The person:

Proven expertise: Experience as an Operations Manager or similar role, with a strong grasp of warehouse, logistics, and supply chain management.

Leadership excellence: A skilled leader and motivator, able to manage and develop a team.

Problem solving: Exceptional organisational skills with the capacity to tackle challenges.

Customer focus: A commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Technical proficiency: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software tools.
