The opportunity...Nigel Wright is recruiting for an exciting opportunity to work for a leading client within the pharmaceutical sector.Supply Chain PlannerPermanent £30-35,000 Full Time hours - 7.30am - 4.00pmBased in LeedsFree ParkingThe role...The purpose of the role is to raise and manage purchase orders inline with forecasts. Working with Quality, Suppliers and Commercial Teams to ensure the timely delivery of the finish product into the business. Adhering to quality standards, working practices and KPI measures along with addressing any internal or external queries. Some of the daily duties will include: 
  • Creation, deleting and updating of purchase order numbers inline with the MRP system
  • Review and confirm orders 
  • Monitoring the status of open purchase orders, delivery of goods and manage any related issues 
  • Expedite materials inline with changes to demands
  • Understanding and communicating delays with materials or shortages in supply 
  • Managing deliveries including all required documentation
  • Set up and monitoring of both material & supplier information within SAP
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
What we are looking for?We are looking for people with proven experience within a similar supply planner role within the manufacturing industry. Some of the key things we are looking for in people interested this role are:
  • Proven experience with in supply chain systems and ideally with using SAP
  • Experience of MRP/ ERP Systems 
  • Strong communications skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work proactively using own initiative whilst still building a rapport and working relationships with both internal and external teams/suppliers
  • High levels of accuracy and the ability to remain organised
  • Computer literate to a good standard with a focus on using MS Excel
