Transport and Fleet Manager

This excellent opportunity will suit an experienced Transport and Fleet Manager to oversee and streamline the logistics department at our client's site based in Leeds. You'll be responsible for managing operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining compliance with company and legal standards.

Description

The successful Transport and Fleet Manager role will:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the logistics department.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Develop the coach the team effectively.
• As the site lead for Transport, develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiencies.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient delivery systems.
• Manage fleet of vans and LGVs, ensuring the highest levels of compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with company processes.
• Track and manage logistics department expenses.
• Coordinate and manage logistics staff for optimal performance.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly followed within the department.
• Be able to commute daily to Leeds.

Profile

A successful Transport and Fleet Manager should have:

• Proven experience in a managerial role within a fast paced delivery environment.
• The skills to lead and coach a team effectively.
• A customer focused mindset.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Experience of temperature controlled vehicles (desirable).
• Knowledge of logistics systems and practices within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sector.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach.
• A Manager level CPC qualification.
