PURPOSE OF ROLE 

We are working with a respected insurance company to find a Senior Commercial Claims Handler. The role involves managing complex insurance claims, ensuring fair and timely resolutions, delivering excellent client service, and maintaining regulatory compliance. 

EXPERIENCE 

  • 5+ years in commercial claims handling, preferably within an insurance broker environment.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and terminology.
  • Proven experience managing complex claims and advocating for clients.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards.

SKILLS 

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in insurance software (e.g., Acturis) and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and foster collaboration.
  • Client-focused approach with a commitment to high-quality service.

DAY TO DAY 

  • Manage a varied portfolio of claims across different insurance lines.
  • Act as the primary client contact, advocating for fair claim resolutions.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurers and third parties.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide empathetic customer service and address client inquiries.
