Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a Leeds based manufacturing business, who are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to join the business.As the Production Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing manufacturing processes that ensure production of high-quality, highly regulated products. In addition, you will also lead and support in NPI and manufacturing improvement projects, focused in assembly processes and operations.Production Engineer duties and responsibilities:

  • Understand the Company’s obligation to quality and to apply the appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) pertinent to the role.
  • Understand the Company’s commitment to Health & Safety and ensure that policies, procedures and safe methods of work are always followed to safeguard colleagues and customers.
  • Designing and optimising production processes, including selecting appropriate machinery, tooling, and materials to ensure efficient production
  • Diagnosing and resolving production issues that arise during manufacturing, including equipment malfunctions and quality concerns
  • Supporting efficient manufacturing process through data collection and analysis
  • Writing and maintaining Work Instructions
  • Creating and maintaining manufacturing Bills of Materials

To be considered for the Production Engineer role you will need:

  • At least two years experience in a similar role is a minimum requirement
  • They should have a higher level qualification such as HND or degree
  • Experience with 3D CAD
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining lean processes
  • Strong understanding of digital process development, eg MS Power Automate, Sigma or equivalent
