Job Purpose

Lead and inspire a multi-skilled engineering team to ensure both planned and reactive maintenance activities are executed efficiently.Oversee the engineering performance KPIs in collaboration with the Production Manager, driving machine performance to new heights.Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimising costs, enhancing reliability, and maintaining quality.Drive the implementation of condition monitoring techniques and create effective maintenance planning schedules to maximise equipment availability.Serve as a vital part of the operations leadership, providing insights and taking responsibility for weekend on-call coverage.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience, successfully guiding teams towards achieving maintenance goals.
  • Strong understanding of various maintenance strategies including predictive, preventive, and proactive approaches.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations within a manufacturing context.
  • Proficient in MS Office and committed to utilising engineering software effectively.
  • Knowledge of Lean techniques and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and implementing maintenance programmes to improve reliability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with effective communication capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt leadership style to meet the diverse needs of the team.
  • Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Advanced maintenance planning tools and technologies
  • Relevant manufacturing machinery and equipment experience
