You'll be the key person communicating between the building managers and the maintenance contractor to manage a c.£3m budget and :
- Deliver a responsive maintenance service for both reactive and reactive works
- Build closer relationships between all parties for the benefit of all
- Compile information about the buildings to help the asset team make your role easier
- Exploit the CAFM system (Planon) to manage information and guide your team
- Encourage innovative thinking by creating a safe environment for ideas to flourish
You are expected to have a HNC qualification or similar in building services, engineering or construction coupled with a track record as a Facilities Manager or Contracts Manager in maintenance.
You'll need to enjoy being visible, this Facilities Manager role isn't ideal if you prefer being deskbound and data-focused; you are the kind of person who likes to get things done and enjoys galvanising others to achieve mutual goals.
The University of Leeds package includes:
- Salary between £37099 and £44263 depending upon experience
- 6% pension contribution
