Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + company car + company benefits

Hours: 37.5 per week

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a team of Service Engineers, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and business growth. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction, compliance, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of Service Engineers.
  • Support training, certification, and career progression.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching.
  • Assist in recruiting and retaining skilled engineers.

Operational & Service Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Quality regulations.
  • Monitor job execution to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Generate accurate quotations and track job reports.
  • Oversee work scheduling and resource planning.
  • Track labour, material costs, and revenues for invoicing accuracy.

Customer & Business Development

  • Maintain a customer-first approach to exceed service expectations.
  • Identify sales leads and contract change opportunities.
  • Manage subcontractors and project administration for seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure contracts are fulfilled on time and within budget.

Continuous Improvement & Safety

  • Foster a safety-first culture through training and compliance.
  • Support business growth through process improvements and cost efficiency.
  • Promote leadership behaviours, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • City & Guild Level 3 in Refrigeration & AC.
  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH certification.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a service team.
  • Hands-on technical expertise in refrigeration and AC systems.
  • Strong customer focus and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent coordination and resource planning skills.
  • Ethical, accountable, and results-driven professional.
