The Role

As the Operations/Services Manager, you will be at the heart of ensuring our services run smoothly and effectively. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll oversee the operational aspects of Getaway Girls, from managing administrative systems to supervising and mentoring staff, while ensuring the services we provide truly support and uplift the young women we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and nurture a team of project staff, providing supervision, development, and meaningful feedback to encourage growth.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date and consistently applied to create a safe and equitable environment.
  • Manage HR systems and provide efficient administration and monitoring to support the wellbeing of staff and volunteers.
  • Maintain a supportive, inclusive space where staff, volunteers, and young women feel safe and valued.
  • Coordinate service delivery, ensuring referral systems, quality assurance, and monitoring meet the needs of our young women.
  • Take responsibility for the charity’s buildings, ensuring they remain safe and compliant with health and safety standards.
  • Deputise for the CEO when necessary, contributing to the development of the organisation and the wellbeing of all involved.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a passionate, and experienced leader who is dedicated to supporting young women and fostering an empowering, inclusive environment. About you:

  • A proven track record in operational management within the charity sector, with a focus on supporting women and young people.
  • Experience in youth and community work, with a genuine commitment to diversity, inclusion, and the empowerment of young women.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate both staff and volunteers.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and experience in managing staff and services to ensure a collaborative, supportive atmosphere.
  • A commitment to championing young women-centered approaches and an understanding of the challenges young women face.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
