The Project

As a highly experienced Site Manager, you will play a key role overseeing various commercial and education projects across the North, with project values up to 5m. From overseeing schedules and managing resources to conducting site inspections and ensuring adherence to regulations, your expertise in problem-solving, coordination, and leadership will be essential in delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

  • SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • CSCS Card

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

  • Proven history of successfully delivering various projects within the commercial or education sectors
  • Extensive background in the industry with at least 3 years of experience of operating in a number one Site Manager position or similar for a well-known contractor

  • Ability to organise and manage project schedules
  • A solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards

  • In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building processes
  • Exceptional focus on detail to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications

The Role

  • Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Duties

  • On-site safety inductions
  • Liaise with the principal contractor
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders
  • Conduct and attend routine site meetings
  • Report and work closely with the Contracts Manager
  • Handle any issues or conflicts that arise throughout the project
  • Comply with health and safety regulations throughout all work operations
  • Oversee package costs, maintaining alignment with the established budget
  • Identify possible threats to the works, implementing effective strategies to address them
  • Coordinate and manage daily site activities, overseeing workers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Managing resources such as materials, equipment, and labor to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively
  • Serve as the principal contact between the project team, clients, and stakeholders, delivering regular updates on project progress
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of all project components, including contracts, permits, change orders, and communications
  • Enhance and maintain positive client relationships by resolving concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with project developments
