Shift Engineer

Our client is currently recruiting for an experiencedShift Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical Bias)for a contractual assignment based inLeeds, LS9

The shift Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities whilst ensuring the safety and efficiency of all systems within the hospital. This will include Plant Maintenance and HVAC.

Available Shifts and Location:

• Shift Pattern:4 days then 4 off then 4 nights- Full-time position
• Location:LS9 7TF
• Shift Times:06:00-18:00PM and 18:00PM TO 06:00AM
• Pay Rate:19.83 per hour (including holiday pay), with the option to accrue additional holiday pay
• Pay Frequency:Weekly, every Friday before 5 PM
• Paid via PAYE only

Skills and Experience Required:

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding and have experience of large scale works on heating and domestic water services, general electrical services such as power and lighting, air handling units, low voltage electrical distribution system and switch gear, emergency standby generating lighting, electrical control systems and BMS
• Have experience leading a shift team of maintenance craftsman and assistants and to be able to lead and provide support
• Carry out repairs, re-active maintenance and minor installation works and testing and inspection of building, mechanical and electrical services associated systems, plant equipment in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures and to attend, diagnose and repair faults.
• Ability to measure, work to plans ( method statements), read technical diagrams and communicate, present and report technical information as appropriate to trade/ skill
• You will be required to undertake general plumbing tasks as part of the role and general mechanical tasks
• To be responsible for the operation and maintenance of district heating scheme generation and distribution equipment which consists of large scale boilers, CHP & chiller plant.
