Child Support Worker

NextGen Teachers are currently working with a Specialist Provision located in Leeds who are seeking to recruit multiple full-time Social and Emotional Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support their pupils with SEMH needs. This role would be starting in February/March on a permanent contract.

This Specialist SEMH/SEN School in Leeds caters for pupils aged 8-16 years of age who have Social and Emotional Mental Health needs and are working on a Primary based curriculum.

We're seeking a candidate who is passionate about making a difference to pupils lives who have SEMH/SEN needs and have the experience / knowledge to support these pupils.

The role of an Child Support Worker in this school will be to:

  • Support pupils in both an indoor and outside classroom setting on a day to day basis.
  • Working with multiple pupils and supporting students with 1-2-1 support and intervention.
  • Support pupils with their holistic development in line with there Educational Health Care Plans.
  • Supporting and managing the behaviour of the students.
