Assembler/Mechanical Engineer

Salary £14.00 -£16.00 per hour dependent on experience + 25 paid holiday per year

Location Morley - some on site travel – full driving licence

Hours 38 per week

Our client are manufacturers of poly wrapping machines and other products for the mailroom Industry. They are now looking for an experienced Assembler/Mechanical engineer to join their existing team.

You will ideally be an experienced mechanical engineer who can ensure that the plant and equipment runs safely and efficiently at all times with the aim of minimising downtime.

Responsibilities but not limited to:-

  • Machine Assembly & Refurbishment 
  • Cleaning of Machines
  • Serving of Machines (on & off site)
  • Fault diagnosis 
  • Preventative and reactive maintenance on all machinery

Required skills, experience and qualifications

  • Ideally, Time Served Apprentice Trained in Mechanical Engineering or machine building
  • Ability to read and understand Mechanical & Electrical drawings
  • Ideally from a process / machinery assembly background
  • Experience of field service work, on-site installations would be desirable
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Office applications 
  • Ability to work on own initiative
