A leading UK Engineering Design Consultancy based in Leeds are seeking an experienced Building Physics Engineer proficient with IES-VE to join a team of specialists. Founded nearly 25 years ago and as part of a larger engineering group, this position provides excellent opportunity for career progression, professional development and varied work.

The Building Physics Engineer selected for the role will have a range of responsibilities. They'll be conducting detailed building performance simulations, developing energy models and ensuring building compliance. The engineer will also be contributing to the development of low and zero carbon technologies to achieve planning and BREEAM requirements as well as mentoring junior team members and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements to be considered for this Building Physics Engineer role:

  • Degree in Building Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in a building physics role and familiar with building performance simulation software (preferably IES-VE).
  • Strong understanding of building regulations, energy codes, and sustainability standards.
  • Live in or near to Leeds.
