I am excited to partner with a leading manufacturing company who are based in Leeds and have a vacancy for an Engineering Team Leader to join their team. The successful Engineering Team Leader will lead a small maintenance team and will ensure that the onsite operation runs smoothly.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small friendly team working Monday to Friday, offering a competitive salary. Candidates with a multi skilled background coming from the Royal Navy, British Army or Royal Air Force are encouraged to apply.

Engineering Team Leader Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily maintenance tasks with the team and take the lead on escalating breakdowns.
  • Liaise with the Planning department to schedule in routine maintenance and assign the maintenance tasks to the engineers.
  • Ensure any new machinery defects which are reported to maintenance are assigned to an engineer and ensure that defect rectification is conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain stock control of engineering stores, to identify and order all required spares / parts.
  • Attend Risk Observation and Continuous Improvement meetings, to offer opinions and solutions and be responsible for planning and assigning any maintenance actions.
  • Manage 5S within the department.

Engineering Team Leader Requirements:

  • Hold level 3 in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Must be multi skilled and have strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Demonstrable background in leading a team.
  • Good organisation skills.
