We are on the lookout for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to design metal and plastic and wooden enclosures, and additional mechanical components, for an electro-mechanical engineering business. You need to have at least twelve months' experience on Solidworks. You will be utilising processes such as material extrusion, fabrication and casting, injection moulding and machined components. Production assistance with the design of jigs/fixtures will also be required from time to time.As a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have a recognised mechanical engineering qualification and at least one years' post university work experience in enclosures (or similar) for a manufacturing business. It would be beneficial for the appointed Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to have experience in industrial/product design and have a flair for the aesthetic. Our client has a full order book for the foreseeable future, featuring some of the biggest names in their industry.Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Mechanical Engineer / Sheet Metal / Plastic / Aluminium / Assembly / Mechanical Engineer / Solidworks / Electro-mechanical / Machined* Design plastic injection moulded components* Design fabricated interlocking aluminium & steel enclosures* Carry out mechanical fittings and compatibility checks on electronic assemblies.
