Metalis is currently supporting a leading manufacturer of bespoke electrical solutions in their search for a Production Process Engineer.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative business that is expanding its production capacity and launching new products in the coming year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, ensuring efficient transition from design to manufacturing.
- Improve assembly processes, identifying and implementing efficiency improvements.
- Work closely with the R&D team to ensure seamless integration of new manufacturing methods.
- Utilize continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen) to enhance production workflows.
- Analyze current production methods and introduce automation or robotics where applicable to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the Product Manager and Operations Director to drive improvements.
Key Requirements:
- A degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline (desirable)
- 4+ years of industry experience in production, process, or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience in bespoke, low-volume manufacturing rather than mass production.
- Strong IT and digital skills to support process innovation.
- Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team, communicating effectively with R&D and manufacturing teams.
- Experience with control panel assembly, power systems, or related electronics is advantageous.
- Understanding of control systems, with exposure to manufacturers such as Schneider Electric and Mitsubishi would be beneficial.
Company Benefits:
- Competitive salary of 35,000 - 45,000 per annum.
- 33 days of holiday, including bank holidays.
