Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: Leeds, 1-2 hours from address
Salary: Competitive + Company Car/Allowance
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day, with regular overnight stays (rota given 3 weeks in advance)

Role Overview

We are seeking an Project engineer to join our team, working across the UK to support major clients in improving reliability, efficiency, and asset management strategies within their facilities. This is a customer-facing role, liaising directly with clients on-site to deliver tailored support packs and implement industry-recognised asset care strategies.

The role involves a mix of office-based work (50%) and on-site support (50%), requiring regular travel and overnight stays. Travel will be planned in advance, with a rota provided three weeks ahead, ensuring a good balance of time away and time at home.

This position is ideal for someone looking for variation and diversity, as you will be working with world-class businesses across multiple industries. While the primary focus is on UK clients, some optional overseas travel may be available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects in Asset Care Implementation Strategies, including Reliability Performance Studies, Asset Care Packs, Preventative Maintenance Optimisation, and Lubrication Schedules.

  • Conduct site standards/condition reports using our ‘Fresh Eyes’ approach to help clients maintain high safety, quality, and productivity standards.

  • Act as a key liaison between the company and its major clients, ensuring effective communication and value-driven service delivery.

  • Work closely with teams managing asset reliability, vibration analysis, lubrication, and noise monitoring to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to improve asset life cycles and overall maintenance strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices in FMCG and manufacturing environments.

  • Produce detailed reports and documentation using Windows-based software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong background in asset management, reliability engineering, or maintenance strategies.

  • Experience within the FMCG sector or similar manufacturing industries.

  • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills for on-site client interactions.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation.

  • Ability to travel within a 1-2 hour radius of home with regular overnight stays as part of the role.
