A great opportunity has arisen for a CMM Inspector to join a leading manufacturing company who supply worldclass products to various industries including, Aerospace, Oil & Gas & Renewable.

Job Description:

  • Performing final & inter-stage dimensional inspections and supporting the requirements for documenting and maintaining records associated with these activities.  
  • Review and verify route cards, process instructions, engineering drawings and inspection procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances of components.
  • Liaise with client inspectors as and when required.Perform intermediate and final dimensional inspections including documenting and maintaining records associated with inspection. 
  • Verification of process instructions, engineering drawings and inspection procedures.
  • Inspection of parts to include the production and control of documents for materials processes and parts.
  • Assist in the development and control of necessary documentation, analyse & report on materials, processes and products.
  • Calibration and recording of measuring equipment.
  • Liaise with other departments to maximise output

Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:

  • Basic Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 & AS9100 requirements.
  • Competent user of measuring equipment, e.g. Verniers, Micrometers, CMM’s and vision systems
  • Basic Knowledge of all relevant British standards.
  • Substantial experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and associated engineering documentation.
  • Computer Literate
  • Excellent Communication and Organisational Skills
  • Able to work of your own initiative
  • Flexible attitude to work

Additional Details:

  • Salary subject to experience.
  • Shift pattern 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 12am, which rotates on a weekly basis. (5 days, 4 days)
