A great opportunity has arisen for a CMM Inspector to join a leading manufacturing company who supply worldclass products to various industries including, Aerospace, Oil & Gas & Renewable.
Job Description:
- Performing final & inter-stage dimensional inspections and supporting the requirements for documenting and maintaining records associated with these activities. Â
- Review and verify route cards, process instructions, engineering drawings and inspection procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances of components.
- Liaise with client inspectors as and when required.Perform intermediate and final dimensional inspections including documenting and maintaining records associated with inspection.Â
- Verification of process instructions, engineering drawings and inspection procedures.
- Inspection of parts to include the production and control of documents for materials processes and parts.
- Assist in the development and control of necessary documentation, analyse & report on materials, processes and products.
- Calibration and recording of measuring equipment.
- Liaise with other departments to maximise output
Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
- Basic Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 & AS9100 requirements.
- Competent user of measuring equipment, e.g. Verniers, Micrometers, CMM’s and vision systems
- Basic Knowledge of all relevant British standards.
- Substantial experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and associated engineering documentation.
- Computer Literate
- Excellent Communication and Organisational Skills
- Able to work of your own initiative
- Flexible attitude to work
Additional Details:
- Salary subject to experience.
- Shift pattern 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 12am, which rotates on a weekly basis. (5 days, 4 days)
