Elevation Recruitment is excited to offer an excellent opportunity to join our client’s Rail Workshop as a Electrical Assembly Operative. If you’re someone with a keen eye for detail, hands-on experience, and a passion for making sure things run smoothly, we want to hear from you!

Role Overview:

As a Electrical Assembly Operative, you’ll play a crucial part in stripping, building, repairing, and upgrading railway electrical components. Working in close collaboration with a dedicated team, you’ll ensure that all components are built and dispatched to the highest standards, meeting strict customer and industry specifications.

While previous electrical experience is preferred, full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be reliable, enthusiastic, conscientious, and capable of using initiative and judgment to make decisions and solve problems as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble and inspect railway electrical components
  • Perform basic refitting, rewiring, and crimping operations
  • Trial assembly and reassembly of coupler units
  • Work with engineering drawings and client specifications
  • Adhere to quality and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Some electrical experience (full training provided)
  • Ability to work to strict safety-critical specifications
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible and conscientious approach to teamwork and continuous improvement
