About the Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across various sectors. From managing projects independently to leading and mentoring junior engineers and technicians, this position offers the chance to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking organisation.
The successful Senior Structural Engineer will manage and co-ordinate projects, attending meetings with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders and oversee the delivery of structures, drainage, and highways elements of projects within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and design of building structures using advanced software for all structural materials.
- Develop and manage design delivery programmes.
- Supervise CAD/Revit technicians, ensuring designs meet project requirements.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and technical documentation.
- Conduct site visits and attend site meetings to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support internal and external design meetings with clients and design team members.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Chartered or Incorporated status with IStructE or ICE (or working towards it).
Experience & Skills:
- Proven ability to deliver projects through to completion.
- Strong experience in structural design and analysis using software such as TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, Fastrack Portal Frame, CADS Wall Panel, P Frame, and MasterSeries Retaining Wall.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, clients, and external teams.
- Knowledge of relevant building regulations and design standards.
- Valid UK driving licence.
