Academics are currently looking for a talented Music teacher for one of our well respected secondary schools in the Pontefract area. This will be a long term vacancy starting after the February half term.

As a Music teacher you will be responsible for the following:

  • Planning and delivering high quality lessons to students across KS3 and KS4
  • Contribute towards any extracurricular activities and events
  • Create a supportive environment and assist any students that are struggling or falling behind with their studies
  • Collaborate with other teachers in the department and help to further develop the Music curriculum

For the role of a Music teacher you must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a bachelor's degree or a PGCE in Music.
  • Experience teaching Music across key stage 3 and key stage 4
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Must have a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
