Academics are currently looking for a talented Music teacher for one of our well respected secondary schools in the Pontefract area. This will be a an immediate start and will run until the end of the academic year.

In the schools most recent OFSTED report, they were given an overall grade of Good and were praised specifically for having passionate and knowledgeable teachers that deliver exciting and engaging lessons. Along with this the school were also praised for providing effective support to those with special education needs and difficulties (SEND)


As a Music teacher you will be responsible for the following:

  • Planning and delivering high quality lessons to students across KS3 and KS4
  • Contribute towards any extracurricular activities and events
  • Create a supportive environment and assist any students that are struggling or falling behind with their studies
  • Collaborate with other teachers in the department and help to further develop the Music curriculum

For the role of a Music teacher you must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a bachelor's degree or a PGCE in Music.
  • Experience teaching Music across key stage 3 and key stage 4
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Must have a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
